Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is an important in the evolving workplace.  How do we represent our rich culture in our professional lives.  The vlogs for the month of April are devoted to developing DEI principles in your leadership.

new month, new series!

The focus of this month is on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and how it is an important leadership skill.

When you are in this space and doing this work, you are opening yourself up to walking in other people's shoes.  You're learning more about them and understanding where they are coming from.

empathy is an important characteristic any leader can have

In order to be successful, every leader needs to build trust in their team.  If your team trusts you, they will be more productive.

How do you build trust?

You start with empathy.

when you understand...

✔️ why a person does something

✔️ where they came from

✔️ what they eat

✔️ what they did over the weekend

✔️ why those things are really cultural relevant to them...

...it allows them to show up more fully and allows you to show up more fully because you're both living in the space of empathy!
